6-Strokes, traumas to the teeth
7-acidic beverages such as cola
8-Tooth color darkening to root canal treatment
How is teeth whitening done?
First of all, a dentist must examine the patient and decide whether it is suitable for tooth whitening. If the bleaching procedure is deemed appropriate for the patient;
1-By using a mouth opener, cheeks and lips are protected.
2-The tissues around the teeth are protected with special cotton and saliva absorbers.
3-Gingival protective barrier is applied.
4-Gel application containing hydrogen peroxide is applied on the teeth.
5-Activation is increased with a special laser device.
6- The required time is waited in accordance with the whitening gel rules appropriate for the patient.
Although the process varies from person to person, it takes between 30 and 60 minutes on average. In some cases, it may be necessary to repeat the extra session whitening process.
The result of the bleaching process may vary depending on the person’s tooth structure and tooth color.
